I have heard that the 'number of the beast' is 666 because the devil was born on June 6, the year 6.

It is the human number (Man was created on the sixth day). Since the Devil is symbolic of man's hubris and stands in opposition to the trinity, 666 represent a human/diabolic trinity. Read the book of Revelation it's in there somewhere.

It was miscount by 5, because according to latest discovery in the desert of Death Sea region (?), the early scroll of Christian's record, it clearly declared the number of Devil is 661.

in numberolgy you got to be carefull it is a twin number upside down it is 999
in numberolgy 6 is 9 upside down could be 6 month 6th day 6th year meaning could be 9th day 9th month 9th year is is a tricky number to watch for . |

Mad cat is very much on the ball.. its not 666 but 999...i wont go in to the numerlogical value of numbers because ill be here all day ..the only thing you have to know that ..arthimetic....(numbers) is not math but a language... its the art of numerlogy that unravels the message in numbers... what you have to know that 10 is a perfect number. man has the number of 9...any thing above that is celestial ..remember AND GOD MADE MAN IN TO HIS IMAGE but man would never be god..hence the number 9... and numerlogy speaing 9+9+9=27..2+7= 9 =man..... read the bible carefully it will make sense if you follow this...you will see it talks about man not the devil..
