a one-L Lama is a Priest,

Llama in Spanish is flame...it is also the word for "call" so, not sure if it's a myth. Probably, yes.
~~~Call a Llama on fire! |
"Llamas" - two or more animals similar to alpacas.
"Lammas" - a Celtic holiday at the begining of August also called "Lughnasadh" (don't ask me to spell THAT again!) |
It's spelled with two l's. I asked about this once in a Spanish class when two l's together were pronounced as something like a 'y'.
Apparently, it's supposed to be pronounced something like Yama, but English phonetics can't really handle that, so it got bastardized. It happens. So, yeah, Llama. |
