There is a book and a documentary called "Touching the Void". Granted, they're not kids, but the story is amazing anyway!

It's about two mountain climbers who wind up in a BAD situation. One of them ends up with a broken leg, falls many feet into a crevasse, and still manages to hike back to base camp many miles over a rugged glacier while dying of hunger, starvation, and internal bleeding.

There are the Near Death Experience of Children--someone wrote a book about them, specifically of children, a few years ago. [I'm talking about going through the tunnel of light, seeing the being of light, seeing a dead relative, etc.]. Actually, I knew 2 people years ago who had had them. One was a man--he told me the story so thoroughly that I could almost recite it to you by heart--he was 10, even went so far that he met a man 'who he assumed was Jesus, although the man didn't say.''
